Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Rahim

Verse 1

Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Rahim

In the name of Allah The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful

This is the heartbeat of Islam

This is what it means to live as a Muslim

This line seals my religion

This line seals my faith

The man that ascended the 7 heavens brought me to this day and brought me to my faith

A character that encapsulates and fortifies this very line

He gave the Sunnah

Not just for you and me

But for the whole of mankind

Hook

Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Rahim

Verse 2 These are the 2 most revering qualities of the Lord that calm me

These words Ar Rahman Nir Rahim

Keeps me on the right track, ignites a purpose for me

Reading this line from the Holy Qur’an, peace and bliss fill me

Reciting this line again and again awakes a divine passion

La ikraha fiddin

I chose this path even though there's no compulsion

For the aching and ailing, the lost and the searching, these traits of my Creator are heaven-sent

Allah SWT chosen prophets walked this very land

Possessing empathy, grace, understanding, and kindness, such traits

personified these great men

Showing us the path and the way to reach our final destination

These men were God-sent

And the Sunnah of our Rasulullah SAW refined me as a man and now I'm his greatest fan

Verse 3 Infinite hope of a new life in a promised land where

I finally sujud at the gates of heaven

But for now

I keep peace

I seek forgiveness for my sins

Offenses must make way for repentance

Lord I solemnly pray I will I shall, will keep to the path

that keeps me close to heart and close to my deen

But sometimes, sometimes, complacency sets in

The weak and feeble mind plays tricks on my thoughts and my faith wean

Distracting whispers of the wandering fear slowly creep in

surely creep in

Unwavering faith, my Iman and Salah, my prayers, my du’as must be heard my steadfast belief that my Maker will reach out to me will not be wasted and not be in vain

The Lord reaches out to those who reach out

like a vision I had, I reached out to You, and You embraced me and took away my pain

The mighty Allah SWT gave us the chosen one

He gave us the Sunnah

Not just for you and me but for the whole of mankind

Verse 4 The Almighty speaks to us in this very line resurrecting hope that mercy and forgiveness are my Lord’s foremost character

And I shall not doubt the one who blew life into this once lifeless body Al-Ba'ith my Resurrector

Not once but twice

First at my birth and again on my rebirth as a Muslim

The day I became a Muslim I felt resurrected

For that, I shall always bow my head down with gratitude and humility

And say O Thank You Al-Muhaimin Al-Qayyum

Al-Hafeedh

My Saviour, my Sustainer, my Protector

For the Lord says

You came from Me and to Me you shall return

Does a father not forgive his child

Does a mother not comfort her son

Remember me and you shall not be forsaken when the time come

If Allah SWT is so Merciful

Why can't we all show the same mercy to all His creations

Bismillah Hir Rahman Nir Rahim

The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful

This is the heartbeat of Islam

This is what it means to live as a Muslim

Amin Amin Ya Rabbal ‘Alamin
