Alhamdulillah, the tongue utters
For the gracious favours He bestows upon us.
Through His creations,
We see the hand of The Giver behind the gift.
Alhamdulillah, the tongue utters
For the opportunities that pass us,
The trials and tribulations that befall us,
Because we trust that He is looking after us.
Alhamdulillah, the tongue utters
For the force that has steered us to give praise to Him
Is also one of His blessings,
Because nothing comes from our own greatness.
The tongue utters,
The heart remembers,
The limbs move,
All in worship of Him.
